We use tie straps of all types to secure our gear to our rigs, for job sites, and for numerous other reasons. Many cam straps are way too expensive and just a tad too skinny, thus lessening the break strength. This set of Gorilla Dirt HD Cam Straps is 38mm wide (1.5″) giving them a 1980 lbs break strength! They are 6.5′ long (78″) making them perfect for lashing down coolers, fringes, and other smaller necessities. The beefy metal buckle teeth bite into the high-tenacity polyester straps for a gorilla grip, keeping your items secure.

One thing we did differently from many others is the method in which we add protection so the buckle does not scratch the gear that it rests on. We like the idea of the rubber protection many cam buckles use, but those can become cumbersome if the rubber gets hard from the weather, gets wet, etc. We saw a strap that used simple padding beneath the buckle and loved it. Doesn’t get in the way, it’s easy to clean and nothing collects between it and the buckle. So we added a thin neoprene pad. Don’t need the pad? Just cut it off.
