Expedition orange is the high-visibility color used on gear bound for the Arctic, Antarctic, and other places where white-outs, long nights, and bad weather make everything else disappear. Tents, sleds, survival suits, and marker flags get painted this color for one reason: you can find it. Gorilla Dirt put that color on the Trail Mat because camp has its own version of that problem.
