Description
The FireCan is what you light when the forest service says no campfires. It burns propane, not wood, sits on folding legs above the ground, and throws no sparks, so it’s the alternative during summer burn bans and the fire you can run on a beach, a tailgate, a boat ramp or a patio where a wood fire isn’t welcome.
It looks like an ammo can because it’s built like one: powder‑coated black steel, a lid that lifts off, silicone handles and legs that fold flat. The whole thing is 12 by 6 by 7.5 inches and about 13 pounds, which is a sliver of truck‑bed space for 38,000 BTU of heat. Mesh sides mean you see the flame and feel the heat from the side instead of only from above.
Set‑up is hose on, valve open, light. The included 5‑foot hose has a tool‑free quick‑release at the can and a standard QCC1 fitting at the tank, so it runs off a 20 lb BBQ tank or, for the packable version, a 5 lb Gas Growler. A full 5 lb Growler runs it at max flame for roughly 2.5 to 3 hours; turn the regulator down and it goes a lot longer.
Add Ignik Fire Rocks or Moon Rocks for a fuller, more campfire‑looking flame.

Good to know
Propane only; never put wood or any solid fuel in it. Fire pit rocks or fire glass rated for high heat are fine; landscaping rocks can crack. The original FireCan is calibrated for heat, not cooking; if you want to grill on it, the FireCan Deluxe has a separate cook burner and grill insert.
