Built to Take a Beating
The one-piece aerodynamic polymer shell cuts wind noise and drag on the highway and shrugs off whatever the sky throws down. Underneath, an insulated black aluminum diamond-plate base fights condensation and holds heat. The walls are double 280g rip-stop poly-cotton with a 420D oxford rainfly rated to 3500 PU waterproof, and every latch and hinge is marine-grade 304 stainless — trail dust and salt air don’t get a vote. This is the tent you buy once.
A Real Bed, Four Seasons a Year
Inside you get 45 inches of peak headroom — enough to sit up, change, and move without crawling — plus a 39″ x 25.5″ skylight to pull in the stars and seal up tight when the rain rolls in. It ships with a quilted high-density foam mattress, blanket, foam pillows, a storage loft, interior pockets, and exterior shoe bags. Best part of a hard shell: bedding stays packed inside when it’s closed, so your next trip starts with a latch, not a chore. Want it plush? Add the OVS Comfort Kit for a thicker sleep system.
Will It Fit Your Rig?
At 178 lbs dry, the Bushveld 2 mounts to most roof racks, bed racks, and crossbars rated for the load — a natural fit on a Tacoma, 4Runner, GX, or Land Cruiser running a proper platform. Pair it with a Toyota roof rack and a 270° awning and you’ve got a basecamp that deploys in minutes. The shell opens on the passenger side, and it ships free via LTL freight with a lift-gate.

Before You Buy
Shipping, Warranty & Returns
Every Overland Vehicle Systems roof top tent ships freight. Here's exactly what to expect — no surprises at the curb.
Free Freight Shipping
Ships free via LTL freight in the lower 48. Not available to Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico.
The carrier calls to schedule a curbside delivery appointment — usually about 1–2 weeks out. You'll need to be there to receive it.
Delivery is to the curb only. The driver won't carry it inside or help unpack or mount it, so line up a hand (these run 150–200 lbs).
Inspect the crate before the driver leaves. If anything's damaged, note it on the freight bill — or refuse delivery. That note is what protects your replacement claim.
4-Year OVS Warranty
Covered by Overland Vehicle Systems' 4-year fabric and 4-year structural warranty.
Protects the original buyer against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. Confirmed defects are replaced with an equivalent tent.
Not covered: labor, freight, or consequential costs; abuse, improper installation, modification, or any commercial use.
Install note: use anti-seize on the stainless fasteners to prevent thread galling.
30-Day Returns
New, unused tents can go back within 30 days of delivery, in original packaging — returns need to reach OVS within 45 days.
Defective or wrong item? Full refund including shipping, and return freight is on us.
Opened or used returns are inspected and may receive a partial refund.
After 30 days, refunds are partial based on condition, and original and return shipping may be deducted.
