Is there an easy way to release the ratchet when it is tightened down? It appears to be two releases that have to be activated simultaneously...It's quite a challenge when the strap is under tension...or am I missing something? Is there an easier way? (I hope)

From Gorilla Dirt Hello! Like most ratcheting straps, pull back the release lever to disengage it from the gear teeth and extend the handle open all the way. This will pop it loose and you can pull the strap free.   If you over-tighten or get some of the strap caught in the gear teeth, you might need to figure out a way to release even the slightest tension with whatever you have it attached to in order to get the handle to disengage entirely. You definitely don't want to over-tight a ratcheting strap as it can create a headache to release. Ratcheting straps are meant to essentially lock in place to keep the straps from loosening while holding the load. Our straps are no different. They will hold as tight as you ratchet them down.
